Login alerts, smarter commission rules and clearer reports: what's new in FirstPromoter

Over the last few weeks we shipped a long list of improvements. You get more flexible commission tiers, tidier campaigns, reports that split new and recurring revenue, and stronger protection for your account and your affiliates' data.

Here's everything that's new, grouped by where you'll find it.

Commissions and rewards

Pay the promoter whose promotion was actually used

A customer clicks one promoter's link, then pays with another promoter's code. Until now, the commission stayed with the first promoter. You can now switch on a company setting so the commission follows the promotion actually used on the order.

It covers promo codes, Stripe promotion codes, a returning customer arriving through another promoter's referral link and an explicit ref_id. Only the earnings move. The referral, customer count, revenue, MRR and level-up progress all stay with the original promoter.

The setting is off by default, so nothing changes until you turn it on. Learn more: How to track sales with coupon codes

Level-up rules for specific plans

Performance tiers can now apply to the plans you choose and count purchases instead of referrals. Promoters level up for bringing in customers on the plans that matter most to you.

$0 and 0% first-charge tiers

Offering a free first month? You can set the first-charge commission to $0 or 0%, and the normal rate applies from the next payment.

Campaigns and program management

Archive campaigns

Archive a campaign you no longer run. It disappears from the affiliate portal and stops taking new signups and referrals. You can unarchive it any time.

Filter by several campaigns at once

The campaign filter on the admin dashboard now takes multiple campaigns, so you can compare a group without switching back and forth.

Limit affiliate managers to their own affiliates

You can restrict a team member to the affiliates assigned to them. Useful when several managers each run their own group of partners.

Approve affiliates who never confirmed their email

If an affiliate didn't confirm their email, you can resend the verification email or mark them as confirmed yourself.

Hide "Sign in with Google" on the affiliate portal

If you'd rather affiliates sign in with their email, you can now hide the Google sign-in button.

Reports and activity logs

New and recurring revenue, side by side

Reports now show new and recurring revenue and sales in their own columns. You see straight away how much comes from first payments and how much from renewals.

Click a revenue figure to see what's behind it

The new and recurring revenue figures now open a read-only Events page. Filter it by sale type to see the exact events that make up the number.

UID column on commissions

The commissions table has a UID column, so matching a commission to your billing records takes less digging.

Complete activity logs

Activity logs now record every change to team members, roles, security settings, commissions and payouts. When something changes, you can see who changed it and when.

Activity logs are available on Enterprise Plan 3 and above. Learn more: Activity logs overview

Security and access

Alerts when your account is used somewhere new

When someone logs in to your account from a new device or location, you get an email. Confirm it was you, or click "This wasn't me" within 7 days. Admins and affiliates each get alerts for their own account. From your security settings you can review your devices and sign out any session you don't recognise.

More ways to use two-factor authentication

You can now receive 2FA codes by email, and 2FA works across the whole login flow. If you lose access to your 2FA method, our support team can help you recover your account. Admins can also see which 2FA method each team member uses.

Safer "Log in as affiliate"

Before you log in as one of your affiliates, you now confirm it's you with a one-time code. A banner stays on screen while you're logged in as them, so it's always clear whose account you're in. Logging in as an affiliate is now its own permission, with a separate role you can give only to the people who need it.

More control over custom roles

Custom roles can now include a Plan ID permission. Learn more: Team roles and permissions

Stronger bot protection

The checks that stop bots are tighter across one-time codes, account recovery and email confirmation.

Easier SSO setup

The SSO setup screen now has tooltips that explain each field. SSO is available on the Enterprise plan. Learn more: Set up single sign-on (SSO)

Integrations and AI Assistant

Track leads from your forms and events

Connect webinar, booking and form tools like Demio, WebinarJam, Calendly, Typeform or Jotform, and see which promoter sent each signup.

Rate your AI Assistant conversations

When a conversation with the AI Assistant ends, you can rate it. The assistant also shows a short note on terms and usage.

If you have questions or suggestions, reach out to our support team or open the chat directly inside your account. Your feedback helps shape what comes next.
